Since graduating in 1990, Alasdair has actively been involved in the commercial property market since that time. He worked for a variety of Glasgow based Chartered Surveyors firms, principally as a retail agent until 2010, when he left to work for a Scottish Property company, leaving there in 2012 to set up his own commercial property company. In 2021 he formed I H Property Investment Management with Scott Howie to harness the skills he has developed over this period.
Alasdair has an infinite knowledge of how to add value to property from the initial identification of the asset through to the completion of the asset management strategy which drives the acquisitions. He knows how to use the financial markets to grow each individual portfolio and how best to manage the asset through its life as he has consistently demonstrated through the growth of both his and client’s property portfolios.
Alasdair has transacted throughout the length and breadth of the UK and through the long established network of contacts can advise on almost all of the UK.
Away from work Alasdair enjoys a beer and sport and can regularly be found mixing the two.

Scott has provided successful asset and investment management advice to clients throughout his career, however this was formalised in 2011 when he established Inglis Howie Property Asset Management to specialise in this aspect. He has advised a wide range of clients on strategies for their commercial property assets, including private pension funds, property companies, high net worth individuals, family offices, and property management companies.
Scott has been involved in a broad range of transactions including the forward funding of a retail warehouse park, with a 2nd phase thereafter developed and the entire park sold to an overseas institutional investor. He also created the acquisition strategy for a family office and thereafter undertaking that strategy, creating additional equity value and a solid income return in excess of 8% pa. Scott has also implemented multiple growth strategies with subsequent sales on behalf of a national property company.
Scott thrives on delivering the strategies he recommends for clients from acquisition, through ownership to ultimate exit.

Steven has been employed at a senior level in the property asset management world for over 20 years and has extensive experience and knowledge of the asset management function, operating throughout the whole of the UK across all the commercial property sectors. He has a detailed understanding of the entire property investment process from identification of suitable assets for acquisition to the formation of business plans, onboarding due diligence, ongoing management, and delivery of post-acquisition targets to end of business plan sales., leading to the sale of the Asset after the completion of the Asset Strategy.
He applies a holistic approach to property ownership and appreciates how important it is to have an understanding of and manage external factors that impact property ownership. He is keenly aware of how ongoing management issues may impact future performance.
With long term experience at a corporate board level Steven is able to apply strategic thinking in the context of the wider business decision making processes that all clients operate in.
Steven joined IH PIM at the start of 2024 and looks forward to bringing his wealth of experience to the team and all their retained clients.

Mark joined Inglis Howie in October 2021. His key role is providing a property management service for existing clients. With five years of assisting with a client’s private portfolio, Mark’s enthusiasm for this service provides peace of mind to our clients, ensuring that not only are their properties maintained to the utmost standard, but their tenants will have an engaged and personable individual at their disposal to assist in whichever way possible, reducing tenant turnover in properties. Mark holds an MA in Business and Marketing from the University of Glasgow and currently resides in both Glasgow and London.

As office manager and PA to both Alasdair and Scott, Elaine ensures the smooth running of many facets of the business. She is on hand to arrange client meetings as well as travel arrangements and always provides a warm welcome to our office.

Alix graduated from Robert Gordon University in 2014 with a first class honours degree in Accounting and Finance. She spent the following 5 years working in Aberdeen for two large firms specialising in Audit and Group Finance, during which time she became a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAS).
In 2019, Alix moved back home to Ayrshire and joined a multi-faceted facility management company based in Glasgow. Here she utilised her knowledge and led a team providing financial advice and support to divisions within the company.
Alix joined IH PIM in March 2024, as Finance Manager to head up the Finance division of the company. She is responsible for the accounting function for each of the client mandates, prioritising financial planning and financial strategies to align with the Asset Strategies for each portfolio. Amongst other things, this includes setting and monitoring financial budgets, provision of quarterly and annual accounts and working closely with our accountants and banking partners to ensure that each company’s financial targets are met.
